In the light of a thousand suns

You and I were the chosen ones

In the crowns of a thousand stars

Names were written and they were ours

In the skies of a thousand days

We were setting the clouds ablaze

In the heat of a thousand nights

We performed the forbidden rites

In the dust of a thousand years

In the seas of a thousand tears

In the keys of a thousand locks

In the ticks of a thousand clocks

Silver slowly replaces gold

It’s the world that is getting old

Now the stars and the suns are gone

But for me you are still the one

And if I am the one for you

Suns and stars will come back anew.
