In my Garden

There are so many things that bring me joy

The longest days and summer sun

My family and a sticky bun

Bob the cat and my favourite hat

Feeling sand beneath my feet

Relaxing rhythms and a cool dance beat

But most of all what I enjoy

Brings so much more than simple joy

My garden is a the place I love

Tools at the ready, hand in glove

Sowing and growing, clipping and nipping

Digging and weeding, mowing and hoeing,

Potting and picking, cropping and lopping

Always something else to do

In my garden I’m never blue

Especially when I grow for you

I’ve food for the table

Flowers for the heart

In the garden

God and I Aren’t far apart!
