Igniting Hope

Feeling hopeless, tired, drained and shadows creep

darkness looms through my mind, body and soul,

And faith begins to falter, fast and deep,

Hope stands tall, a guiding light in my soul,

A beacon in the darkest night.

Hope whispers softly, in the soul of my being,

Banishing doubt, hopelessness and casting out fear.

With wings of courage, they take flight,

Igniting dreams, igniting strength, igniting hope.

Hope is that tiny spark that fuels the fire in my soul,

That fuels my soul's deepest desire.

It's the promise of a brand new day,

A promise that won't fade away in time.

So hold onto hope with steadfast trust, when everything is failing,

For in its embrace, I rise from the ashes like the phoenix.

With hope as my anchor, I dare to cope,

For in its embrace, I find endless hope.
