If There Was Only Enough Time
In the final minutes

If there was only enough time,
in the final minutes to bury a box;
I'd bury it with you.
I would collect things that were significant to Life, our life
Our love letters, that unraveled our love so effortlessly as the pens we used to write them with.
The coordinates of our spot - where they would find our initials carved into the oak tree.
Our favorite picture:
Our wedding picture - where the sun set behind us and the unknowing waited for us in the auburn sky
We’d bury it in our back yard
Our safe haven.
So that
If there were any survivors
They would know
We were here
We existed
We loved
