If the Shoe Fits

Everyday is a special day, and the shoes I pick fit in a special way.

What shoes will I fill today?

Opening the door to all my shoes in sight

All close to my heart

So many I’ve filled so much I’ve done

Which one comes out the closet tonight?

I got the mom shoes, sister shoes, daughter shoes,

Got to love those grandma shoes.

But those shoes are for the things I do for others.

The me, myself, and I shoes come in many colors.

There are the walking shoes and for a little boost I slip into the running shoes.

The working shoes boost my confidence, but the dancing shoes let me shine.

When I need just a little time, out come the comfy, relaxing bootie shoes.

Great memories I’ve made in those play shoes.

I think today I will put on my “I never met a stranger” shoes

Go out and share a smile and make someone’s day.

Come back and slip into the perfect pair of shoes

And put to work from what I learned from them today.
