Introduction
There are people who touch us, without whom we would never have done things that make us who we are. This is for the one who made me believe I could write and share my work on this platform. Without them, I would not be here. If you don't know who I mean they are mentioned and linked in many of my stories and poems so they are not all that secret.
You probably have people like that in your life and you can share this poem with them.
The title of this Bob Dylan song is a perfect starting point for what I have to say. I love the words to this song so will share them with you before I share my words with you. The George Harrison version from "All Things Must Pass" is my favourite version, though I also like the one by Olivia Newton-John.

The Block Mayor
Like every warm day, Terrence is finishing this day on his L-shaped porch, sipping whisky from a dented flask. Cars pass by slowly, and he watches young women pushing babies in strollers; he hears the neighborsβ arguments and knows which have a regular income and those who are unemployed. Terrence is the self-appointed block mayor, laying judgment on his fellow folk.
