If I were a kiss,
Gentle and sweet,
I would paint your face softly
As my lips meet your cheek.
If I were a kiss,
Playful and short,
I would ask to play tag
And chase after your heart.
But if I were a kiss,
Distant and cold,
I would drown you in apathy;
No love in my soul.
If I were a kiss
From the mouth of a liar,
I would whisper soft melodies,
Then set women on fire.
If I were a kiss
That robbed children of sleep,
I would live in the shadows;
You would call me a creep.
If I were a kiss,
Unwanted and forced,
I would cover your screams
With my need to taste more.
