Epiphany of Closure; I

the sun rises as the moon falls,

i wonder, do they miss each other the way i miss you,

or do you just stare at all my missed calls?

time wasn't on our side and we missed our queue

a girl could only pray for someone so true

i am just so ordinary

and you were the absolute of extraordinary

for this, isn't the revelation of a fairy tale

but rather the cry of me fighting tooth and nail

to fight for you and defy all odds

something yet to be mended by God

for He can heal the pain we seek

and the sorrows that creep on the weak

an essence of an old life

memories soaring to fly

i wonder, do i linger on your mind as you do on mine?

because if loving you was wrong then call me guilty of that crime

we had been here once before

but soon ashes left to burn and hearts were torn

despite it all, we'd try until no tokens were left in our shallow pockets

and force it until water filled our sockets

darling, i wish loving me was easy

because then maybe my breathing wouldnt be so wheezy

and my mind wouldnt be so busy

busy with all the could haves

instead of what used to be filled with laughs

as we would in the morning sun,

till the moonlight

but we gave up our fight

now we dim the light

and have no might

What a love story,

heartbreak
