I remember the day like yesterday.
It was two in the morning.
Earlier it was gray.
Earlier I was trying to pray.
Yet the news came with previous warnings.
Now my life felt it was on a brae.
A non stop trip now,began with no lay.
No sleep,no comfort, all storming.
You are gone,you fought the battle, you found your way.
Yet the pain for me ,will never change thanks to that day.
It's closing in on me, it's dawning.
For after all it was my birthday.
For after all it was May.
Now two years later,I still feel like a stray.
Lost, with no purpose,no guidance,and no calling.
You raised me, you loved me, you flew away.
