I Should've Let You Drown
a poem about regret

I have no more space
in between my legs for you.
you say that you honor me,
but disrespect is frequently given
sprinkled with nuances, and sly comments
then you turn around, and let your guard down
begging for a tatse of my nectar down south
you came a long way, to tear me apart then lay me out
just to play me out when your friends come around
and the sad part is, I let you.
I still protect you even after all the heckles
because I trust you, on some clown shit
held your hand into my pool, escaping death
each time I thought you were drowning.
