Running through the mountain trail hugging the fog,
wet grass crawling on my legs as I jog.
Behind me I hear your loud laughter,
the crackle so clear like water shimmer.
Blue mountains and white sky were always our dream,
waking from which I only hear the traffic scream.
The walkway seems beautiful as ever,
I have held your hands and walked through here.
I ran around wanting more of life,
didn't know slowly I was losing my wife.
Now I yearn for the warmth of you Dear,
now and again I look around and shiver.
Its a hot summer afternoon with sun pouring down,
all are wondering what I am doing here since dawn.
I don't want to go back to an empty home,
so now me and my soul simply roam.
I thought memories were seen like distant hue,
but no, they seem like a fresh view.
Smiles, laughter, proposal and wedding bell,
cranky nine months, our baby and the stories you tell.
The times you went crazy about food and gown,
thinking about you tears trickle down.
Sniffling I wipe my face with the tie
and sitting there i search answers for all the why.
The heat burns my back and I can no longer sit,
but I promise you that with open doors I shall wait.
