I need you to know you are valued
forget all the people that question the harmless choices that make you happy
forget anyone who does not accept you as you are
and love you wholeheartedly until you grow into your best self
forget anyone that projects their insecurities and limitations onto you
we are endless potential
what others call normal
will never apply to everyone
try new things
until you find the things that bring you to life
other people tell us what to do
what to think
what to belief
how to express ourselves
they try to tell us what is important
and none of them ever try to know you
now I can't really know everyone
but I can feel what connects us
humanity is a collective
we are all the same
merely separated by distance and time
everything that makes us hate each other
is a trick
a tool
that the powerful need to keep us in line
so they can stay powerful
but we should lift each other up
and that starts with being grateful
that we are all here together

My To Be Read List
I have been taking some time away from writing. I haven't forgotten about Vocal, the truth is I just have been too busy pursuing other things to write online and honestly, my little family and I just had a really hard month between the flu and a weird eye infection/cold circulating our house. I'm currently sipping some warm peppermint tea because my throat is sore.
