Hippy

I’m just a hippy

I like to sing songs of love, they come from the heart.

I’ve been knocked around, had to make a new start.

But no matter what they do,I will never part.

From the way that I feel deep in my soul.

I’m just a hippy.That’s all that I am

Just a hippy.Done my time for uncle sam

People laugh at me,I don’t give a damn

Just a hippy.That’s all that I am.

Hair on my shoulders, showing age in my eyes.

Many times I’ve seen things, and laid down and cried

Seen many friends and family die,had to say good-bye

I can’t see myself making a new way in life

I’m just a hippy.That’s all that I am

Just a hippy.Done my time for uncle sam

People laugh at me,I don’t give a damn

Just a hippy.That’s all that I am.

Noe the world has changed, can’t take it any more

Don’t like all the new things, people call be a bore

Still miss the old times and it cuts me to the core

Trying to find memories this world has erased
