I could compare you to a summer's day
A love poem
I could compare you to a summer's day
And say how you are far more temperate
And far more lovely than a windy may
And far more lasting than any date
But these words in time will stop to shine
And our faces will with age be dimmed
Our strength and youthful passions will decline
And our heads by beauties barber will be trimmed
But even as our memories start to fade
We carry something better that we own
Our life and death comingle in the shade
And murmur how a truer love is grown:
That lovers must perfect each flaw and quirk
And true love is a shitload of work
