I love the water
It doesn't love me
Context matters
If I'm hot, yes please
a light rain shower is great
the sound of a boat rocking is so soothing
the untouched surface so serene
But go too far and I am flat on my back
stop for too long and I go under
end me any other way but drowning
I guess I am built for land
Too bad we're made of water
maybe that's why my mind tortures me
It's the water drowning my spirit
I barely keep my head above it
Collected a lot of trauma and now I can't swim
But I can always learn
There is still time to find the calm within
To embrace my emotions like a roaring wave
To once in my life feel hydrated
