I am a tall woman with

brunette tresses and rosy lips.

I wonder why it is freezing cold today,

I hear erratic screams and,

doors slamming on the fourth floor.

I see green pickled grass,

caked with inedible white fluff.

I want to escape lockdown,

I am tough as a solid pewter rock.

I pretend to be a healer,

I feel both satisfied and despondent.

I touch the warm fuzzy blanket laying on my

comfy, cushiony, fleecy grey sofa.

I worry about the outcomes of

this gruesome plague.

I cry when someone I love,

goes through dark times.

I am a human being just like

everyone else.

I understand that no life is

rainbows and sunshine.

I say that I will grow each day.

I dream about the start of

the magical, joyful and sweet new year.

I try to make the best of each day

of the week.

I hope to tell a story of

the amazing life I continue

to live and flourish in.

I am a golden sunflower with

healing powers and heaps of smiles.
