we had a hurricane recently and I couldn’t stop thinking of you,

hoping you were in a safe place while it rolled through,

hoping you were still comfortable with your pregnancy and all,

and that you were surrounded by loved ones as the heavy rain began to fall,

after it went by there were reports of flooding and power outages all over the region,

everything you might expect from hurricane season,

I wanted to reach out to you so badly just to make sure you were ok,

but I understand it’s not my place to do it that way,

I checked your region and saw there was flooding but everything looked alright,

I hope you didn’t lose power and still had air conditioning and light,

times like these I wish I could be there for you and express my love,

but all I can do is pray for the safety and happiness of my dream girl to heaven above
