Humans Need Connection

we are wired that way

By HufflecupPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

All humans really need is a genuine connection to be happy. I mean we started out in small, interconnected tribes. They lived together and had to cooperate to continue to exist. They were also so close that they shared every little moment together. So our sources of joy were each other. I mean we worked together to build tools that made life easier. And then we just shared those inventions. Like: “hey here is a cool thing we discovered. You might find it useful too.” We invented games to occupy our time. We shared every bit of food we had. We told stories and sang songs just for the joy it brought. We shared things because we had them and we traded in favors because it was helpful and kind. We explored the world together because everything around us was new and wonderful.

The world is so big now. Everyone is so interconnected. We interact with so many people every day. And we still keep our circles small. Not everyone is considered a friend. But among the group of people, we choose to see with our free time we live so openly. We’re too busy working and then finding time to do life things and fun things to care about everyone. But the way we treat our loved ones shows what humans could be. If we had more time to be with each other. We would care more. Society would be heart first instead of money and power-driven.

I think that is what every person wants. We just let them divide us so much. And they call it politics. Like people should be fighting over creating policies that make life easier for people and acting like there are two legitimate sides of the argument. I mean damn, we should want a society where everyone can be happy and have all their needs met and do what they want with their day instead of working for someone else’s leisure all the time.
