Hi my name is sodalite

And I'm here to bring you your hearts delight

For when it gets too dark at night

You can hold me in your hand - left or right

I'll help you improve your words and your sleep

Child of the world, it is okay to weep

I'll give you strength and confidence

Help you feel courage, see your innocence

You are gracious, you are kind, you speak the truth with importance

Your self-esteem is enhanced now, safe space to express with no consequence

You have been choosing with your heart

But you forgot an important part

They told you first there were 5 senses

See, taste, touch, smell, hear - but what about those pencils?

You can use them and positive words to create a spell,

You could draw a flower and you could think of someone's smell!

Did they not tell you about sense number 6?

That gut feeling, a knowing, your mind's magic tricks!

For your intuition will always guide you

And what you don't see, but can sense, can often be true

You are gifted with creativity and foresight

Be still, be calm, trust yourself, be the light!

Glossary for children:

Self-esteem: that part of you that feels confident, strong and respects who you are

Enhanced: to improve something, to make something better

Knowing: things you just know for certain, without a doubt, and you know it very clearly.

Intuition: Knowledge you have that feels like facts even when others cannot see or explain it, understanding something on instinct (the thing that allows animals and humans to know what move to make next)
