Music is a beautiful thing, isn't it?
The way a melody just flows through your veins as you close your eyes
The way a certain beat or movement can invoke different kinds of feelings inside you
If you are lucky it can send shivers down your body or give you goosebumps
But why does music have that much of an impact on us?
Why does it have the power to join together different types of people
Or change our perspective of things
There is a Japanese saying that a human has three different faces
The one you show to others
The one you show to your friends and family
The one that you show to no one
That last one is your truest form according to the saying
Music is like that in a way
With different genres and emotions
Ranging from
Soul or sad music
EDM or happy music
Classical or debt music
The way a human brain works
Is that we choose the type of music with our hearts
If you are sad
You play slow temple music with sad lyrics
If you want to be happy
You play an upbeat song with repetitive or powerful lyrics
But if you try to listen to music
Not in your current mood
Then you get a strange feeling inside
A feeling of uncertainty
With your mind racing with thousands of thoughts
Trying to figure out life
If you play happy music while you are sad
Then unexpectedly you might become sadder
If you play sad music while you feel normal
Then you get a wave of heightening emotions through your veins
Causing you to get irritated easily
Our brains are a powerful thing
With different thoughts and emotions as you grow older
It's no wonder; we evolve
Our taste of music changes
But we might not notice until we pause
And let the music take control of our body
While we forget all of our troubles in life
Music is a beautiful thing isn't it
Listen closely
And you may find what you are looking for
