Step back, turn around

It’s not your turn yet

Remember the past

It’s still here now

As much as you want it

As much as you’ve changed

The truth is, in this, you are broken

Don’t know until when

It’s tempting, I know

But a broken soul like yours

Can’t offer more than just hurt

Step back, turn around

Someday, perhaps soon

Your soul won’t be blue

But for now, you must

Hold back and be true

True to your capacity

True to your ability

True to your pain

One day soon I know it will end

One day my soul will mend

A full and capable soul

That’s what I’m waiting for

Till then

Step back, turn around

Hold back

And remember the past
