Him & Her

She was his poison, He was her cure

Combine fire and water and you get steam

The confidence she feels when he is near

How her body begins to tremble and not due to feelings of fear

There is a state of comfort and yet an intensity of desire

She lies in silence but her soul is screaming from within

"Please take me higher"

He is made of water and she that of fire

The air thickens and forms into steam rolling off his fingers

As he begins to slowly caress her skin

Her trembling is beyond controllable as she begs "Please slide in"

She notices there is a smile on his face

Pleased by her demands, he moves her body into place

"Open your eyes, look at me", he whispers

The words so close to her lips, she can hear and taste

Her mouth opens as if to make a sound

Yet, no words are stated

It's in that moment, as their bodies join...

They both understand how deep friendship is created

Both on different paths, and yet close enough to touch

Crazy how two strangers, quickly feel so very much

She needs him and He needs her

Everything outside of this, has become a blur

"Please don't stop" she loudly exclaims

Firmly clenching the sheets

She screams out his name

He pulls her tightly against him

She hears his breathing change

They both know in the then and now...

They will never be the same
