Exclusions, the feeling of being left out,
Makes your heart sink and your spirit doubt.
It's a lonely place, an unforgiving ride,
A world where connections are hard to find.

You see friends laughing and having fun,
So close to each other, it feels like a stun.
You try to join in, to be a part of the crowd,
But it seems like they don't want you around.

Being unwanted is like being without
A relentless state of fear and doubt
Its bitter presence instills an ache
That leaves a vacancy too hard to make

We all desire to be seen and embraced
We glance about only to be displaced
We're all just trying to be heard
Something no one else can truly observe

So often I'm excluded from this society,
I feel like I'm surrounded by walls so high,
My heart and soul have so much to offer,
But I'm bypassed by a blink of an eye.

Left out in the cold, you start to feel blue,
Wondering what's wrong with you that they won't include you.
You start to doubt yourself, your worth, your ability,
And experience feelings of sadness, anger, and hostility.

But exclusion is just a temporary state,
A passing phase that we can all relate.
So hold your head high, don't give up hope,
For one day, you'll find a group that helps you cope.

So, don't let exclusion define who you are,
For you are amazing, unique, and especially bright as a star.
You have so much to offer, so much to give,
Just keep moving forward, and you'll find where you fit.
