Here I Was...Here We Were

Threaded Thoughts Through to Forever Fields

In days gone

I knew silent exuberance,

happiness on fire that traveled

seamless

around tiny torsos as we ran

until sweaty and breathless

through games of chase,

‘got-you-last,’

and winding narrow shortcuts

to heed insistent ocean salt.

And worry was not a word we knew

unless bare legs grazed the nettles

squeezing out our howls

rendering us immobile,

desperate for emergency Vaseline first aid application

where the downstairs bed

became a medical-grade stretcher

for the longest five minutes since creation.

Miraculous

how potential popsicle opportunities

instantaneously healed.

Extended marathon expanse of everything alright in the world

except

it wasn’t.

Selfish seeds germinated

in darkness as we played.

Hatred hidden in hearts

circulated through 100,000 miles

of population blood vessels

raised exponentially

to garner quiet momentum

while we laughed at silly jokes with friends,

oblivious to insidious creepy dangers…

strangers…

A world now scarcely recognizable

but true to everlasting Universe perception,

age never really mattered.

We recycled spirits of ancients

with power beyond imaginings

too often beneath awareness.

Global imbalance

a painful stimulus to shift us

shake us

shock us to action,

remind us that from inception

all were female

yin nurturance and healing capacity,

unrestricted answers

to every question destined to emerge.

That illusions are those who feign rule

via darkness

to sell you a façade of light

as a solitary trump card

gripped tight in hopes of your

continued slumber,

disconnection from eternal power,

awareness of true essence.

Yet

the face of awakening is inevitable

to shatter evil’s foundations,

crumble governmental systems.

Conscious masses

incensed at silent exuberance stolen,

now on point.

Focused.

Shadow elements may run,

seek escape ‘ere dying breaths

but this love searches deepest depths

ensures eradication

destruction of wickedness

down to its last loathsome cellular matrix.

Finished.

This time

‘We nuh plan miss.’

Cache cleared.

Billions of eyes open

as it’s already late

for backyard games of '1-2-3 redlight'

and the more people,

the more fun.

Frozen smiles and chilled glee

that don’t mind

starting over where the good times never end.

I especially love this line "Extended marathon expanse of everything alright in the world, except it wasn't." The wakening of the innocence. Well done my friend❤️

Girl, you just keep blowing me away. Innocence, disappointment, determination. This has it all. Brilliant.
