Here I Am

Thinking about death and life during a pandemic.

Here I am again:

Falling low and lower.

Fighting to become better,

lighter as a feather.

But my heart grows heavy

and my mind is racing.

My mind keeps

going in the same destination,

around and around again.

As we hide from the microscopic invaders,

I wonder when this will end.

As my body nears closer to it’s rotting Hell,

I wonder where the fuck I’m going.

Nowhere fast it seems.

It has not given life,

but has only maintained mine.

What is the right time?

Will my Love stay by my side?

As the dandelions drift away,

I bid goodbye to one more wasted day.
