in order to uphold civility

we treat each other savagely

Our engagement with this land

is tragedy

and we deflect our responsibility

in the havoc reeked

and the task in need

From a plastic wrapper neglected

to the disrespected use of our

resourcefulness

have we harnessed yet

what purposing

to re-purpose is?

Chemicals in the air we breath

pharmaceuticals in the water we drink

on the surface, there's a glistening -

in the undertow

there's a quickening -

an awakening to the design

of a curated destruction

a birthing of technologies

to make us un-earthling

Gracious Gaia

is loving

forgiving

transmuting our transgressions

and supporting heaven

here on Earth -

the choice is yours,

mine; ours.
