Dead and pale his skin crawled beneath the sand,

In his wonders, his tiny formidable wasteland.

Searching for a girl, one whom he shall never find,

Tears dripping down his chin, he's choking down his lies.

Reaching for the ocean, her hand nearly on his,

A dream of which he never awakens, a two-faced bliss.

Calling out her name, carving her in stone,

Telling her his confession, how can he be alone?

In a moment he rode the sun,

On his heart she carved her name,

Now he fades, his life is done.
