The world isn't going to hell,

it's been there for far too long.

You've just had a comfy spot in the shade,

a designer pair of sunglasses,

and your own private pool & cabana.

You haven't truly felt the heat,

you haven't suffered the blisters

the pain,

the burning flesh

and the endless chaos.

The oppressed have been suffering

for far too long

yet it takes the flames rising

on your own shins

smoking with your explosive sins,

for you to ever see their pain.

You refuse to wear anyone else’s shoes,

but they never were going to fit you anyway.
