Candle burns bright,
Through a garden of flowers,
Lilacs, hydrangeas, lilies,
Bleeding hearts of red and black,
Seeping down the warmed wax,
Flames sears ever brighter with every drop,
Bloody rain screaming bloody mary,
The flowers wilt,
Blossom,
And wilt again,
Ever wavering, ever dampening,
A flame stands defiant,
Defiant to a world that pressed down upon it,
To bloom anew, a candle of tomorrow.
