Cast out with your eyes
and see, all that is good
and right.
The beauty that surrounds, with man and nature.
Look past the darkness that would
blur and corrupt your sight.
Listen also with your ears to the music that is life.
The symphony of sounds from both man and nature,
the song of thunder and rain.
But cover your ears to the sound of lies,
whispering their falsehoods and manipulations.
Forever spewing division and grief.
Taste the salt the ocean, the sweetness of a fruit
knowing that they are good.
Speak not your own bitter lies, let no vileness escape your lips.
And reach out with your hands,
feel the softness of a feather or the coarseness of a stone.
But feel not the steel of weapons, lay aside these burdens of
man, lest they scar your soul.
