haiku. still. and loving it
3rd week in may 2023, in haiku

i was in deep sleep
dreaming about work, not fun
so, i tried, again
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
sleep, such a good thing
a break from things if you can
get naked and sleep
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
here we are again
we're sitting in our places
it's morning and tea
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
i like our morning
i like the quiet with you
i like all our days
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
my family is big
i don't really see them much
wish i could do both
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
tea again, morning
warm drink to start off the day
humans do love this
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
fairy tales are old
no one's making up new ones
they have no place now
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
and no more folk tales
we make up different stuff now
to trick each other
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
the window's open
breeze comes in and says "hello"
this is a nice day
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
we'll be heading home
for the rest of this sunday
dodgers at 1:10
. . . [5/14/23]
. . .
listen to the wind
blow this way and that way and
just a whisper now
. . . [5/15/24]
. . .
oh my gosh, i'm so
tired, and i don't know why.
so very tired!
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
i'll sit, get some air.
just sit here like this for air.
let me sit here, please.
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
i am a poet.
i did not know it 'til now.
you're a poet too.
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
i can hear some feet.
whose feet are those a-coming?
they didn't a-come.
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
i can hear the drums.
i love coming home to that.
we each take our time.
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
it's a little cold
it's colder that usual
it's may, should be done!
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
it's warm enough though
that i can sit out here now
i like warmer though
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
i'm writing haiku
and it makes me quite happy
lovely thing to do
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
i'm gonna throw up
though i probably will not
this happens a lot
. . . [5/15/23]
. . .
again i sit here
it's a good morning place, see
it has been quiet
. . . [5/16/23]
. . .
it's only mid may
i felt like it was longer
there's still time for me
. . . [5/16/23]
. . .
it's only mid may
so there's still time to save me
thought my time was up
. . . [5/16/23]
. . .
what have you to say
this life is weird - ammiright
i know - i agree
. . . [5/16/23]
. . .
we'll keep at this thing
we'll get better and better
we'll keep refining
. . . [5/16/23]
. . .
the fog is out there
always looks so good with trees
i love it like this
. . . [5/16/23]
. . .
the fog is so bright
unlike any time i've seen
it's like it's glowing
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
i sit here again
morning routines and rituals
so here i do sit
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
a little past mid
may is on its hind legs now
soon it will be june!
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
i am so tired
this week has been weighing down
i am so tired
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
the finger picking
has got to stop one day soon
or maybe never
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
i'm using all the
same words all the time here
just bouncing around
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
can i help you with
that seems heavy i can
carry some of it
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
what should i do now
i ask myself and wonder
probably, i know
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
i've been coming here
for years i've been coming here
it's time to go now
. . . [5/17/23]
. . .
maybe bigger words
will make fancier haiku
why fancy haiku
. . . [5/18/23]
. . .
what are you saying?
what are you trying to say?
what is coming out?
. . . [5/18/23]
. . .
it's all coming out
it's not supposed to stay in
that's all been a lie
. . . [5/18/23]
. . .
let's say what we want
let's mean what we mean all day
say it with me now
. . . [5/18/23]
. . .
i would like to camp
nothing that grand just being
out in a nowhere
. . . [5/18/23]
. . .
i best get ready
i've got to get to work soon
only 2 days left
. . . [5/18/23]
. . .
as the seasons change
we do too in hearts and minds
we try hard to be
. . . [5/19/23]
. . .
it is getting hard
harder and harder it seems
living in this world
. . . [5/19/23]
. . .
the tech has brought more
choices - options - too many
more steps to all things
. . . [5/19/23]
. . .
i wish we could breathe
seems the first thing we let go
the one thing to keep
. . . [5/19/23]
. . .
what can we all do
faced with such gross shit all 'round
this world is too hard
. . . [5/19/23]
. . .
you be your best
i'll be me as best i can
and we'll see this through
. . . [5/19/23]
. . .
garage sales today
we'll go to the movies though
off to see bullitt
. . . [5/20/23]
. . .
it is saturday
that was a hard week for me
glad it is today
. . . [5/20/23]
. . .
there are so many
dogs in the hood it's so nice
even when barking
. . . [5/20/23]
. . .
end of may is near
wow to june being so close
i want it diff'rent
. . . [5/20/23]
. . .
. . .
thank you for reading. for spanning time with me with my haiku. i feel like we're floating. 4th week in may to come. there are 5 weeks of may!
