this morning quiet

i'll enjoy it while i can

it's my favorite time

. . . [9/17/23]

. . .

' don't know what's hap'ning

and i feel a little scared

' don't know what to do

. . . [9/17/23]

. . .

feel like i'm behind

made a lot of wrong choices

got to move forward

. . . [9/17/23]

. . .

time and day go on

no matter what we're thinking

it just keeps going

. . . [9/17/23]

. . .

i know there's better

' need to not take it easy

different than before

. . . [9/17/23]

. . .

yesterday music

today we go back to work

we'll find more music

. . . [9/18/23]

. . .

was thinking of mom

how she feels with all of this

does she feel outside

. . . [9/18/23]

. . .

apart for many

but around each other all

must be a bit strange

. . . [9/18/23]

. . .

all time, all places

probably all felt the same

wond'rin' why we're here

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

a little bit cool

but warm enough to be warm

mid september days

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

be who you want to

have an idea and try it

you're default's not great

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

i sometimes say "no"

even just subtley "no"

and i'm worse for it

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

flat and slow and sad

that is this tuesday, for me

how it is for you?

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

i like this breeze though

just the quiet of right now

i want this always

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

and that's my problem

this peace can't be all the time

you can't hide in it

[i]

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

don't let yourself sink

don't let yourself sink so far

don't sink all the way

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

i want a nice snack

just a little something

so maybe some breaths

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

always been flat-ish

working on this the whole time

some days more tiring

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

where does it come from

is it all just our diets

eat this, be happy

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

you should get up, write

i just heard me say to me

best i do that then

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

i walked on wet ground

it rained last night but not now

it doesn't rain much

. . . [9/19/23]

. . .

tried to walk it out

a bit of weight brought by night

reminded of day

. . . [9/20/23]

. . .

things are going fine

today's wake up was better

no tears for today

. . . [9/21/23]

. . .

a cup of good tea

my sweetie right over there

pretty good, i say

. . . [9/21/23]

. . .

so i'll take it in

spend some time with good feelings

let this be the truth

. . . [9/21/23]

. . .

off to find out

if it will be worse than bad

try'n' to just receive

. . . [9/22/23]

. . .

we all end somehow

but it's strange to see so much

i can't really prepare

. . . [9/22/23]

. . .

so more slow breathing

so more love into the air

so more hopes of peace

. . . [9/22/23]

. . .

before seven hush

no machines, not even dogs

subtly, the birds

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

i woke without bells

asleep early enough to

plenty of day now

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

the birds a bit more

but still quiet all around

i will sit in it

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

coughs from the distance

signs of other life begin

but very slowly

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

i let go of one

i should say i'm trying to

it will be helpful

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

i was holding on

i thought it was a good thing

i think maybe not

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

meeting's are hap'ning

we are fighting for fair pay

fighting for good life

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

showing we can stand

no matter how hard you hit

we know what is right

. . . [9/23/23]

. . .

. . .

another week and another person to doctors('s) - feeling it. wga and sag-aftra strike - the writers met and there is a tentative agreement. end in sight.(?) life. wow. some quiet. some walking. some breathing. some writing. ok. that's good stuff. i hope you had some good stuff.

Hi Kory! Beautiful collection! I hope all is going ok for you! Felt heaviness in your lines. Sending love! I particularly connected with this one: "so i'll take it in spend some time with good feelings let this be the truth" Just beautiful! xoxo
