Amidst the blue sky and the clouds so white,
A graceful dove takes its flight.
With wings spread wide, it soars up high,
A symbol of peace, in the endless sky.
Soft coos, gentle and pure,
Echo through the air, so secure.
Feathers white as snow, in the sun's ray,
Sparkling like stars, showing the way.
With eyes so bright, and a heart so kind,
It seeks for love, in every find.
A symbol of hope, in times of war,
A messenger of peace, forever more.
Its flight so steady, a sight to behold,
In harmony with nature, so bold.
A graceful dove, with a spirit so free,
A symbol of love, for you and me.
In times of sorrow, it brings us comfort,
In times of joy, it makes us effort,
To cherish the moments, and live with love,
As the graceful dove, flies above.

Recently, I spoke with a family member who I struggled to catch up with for a longer timespan than I would’ve liked and what struck me was how societal templates filled in on successive days routinely suck our time into a vacuum of seemingly infernal deficiency.
