Gone what is left

Gone are those bright stars

in the clear sky whose only sight

used to give her butterflies

Gone are those winds blowing smoothly

passing away

caressing her hair mildly

Gone is the fragrance of those flowers

mesmerizing every bit of her soul

to dance like petals and roll

Gone is the sound of that incessant laughter

that used to fill the room with

her enrapturing waoo factor!!

Gone are those days of summer and spring

when nights being short seemed too long

and days being long seemed too short.

Gone is the excitement of reading those pages

where each word twirled and talked

and hours passed like minutes not ages.

What is left are the scattered thorns,

bleeding feet and the howl of horns.

What is left are the bits of torn pages

once kept kempt without any rages

What is left is the black hole of mistrust

a story of revenge

and misery

What is left is the sympathy wounded

raging fiercely to be mended

What is left is the tattered soul

which once begged to be loved

now carrying the bag of loathe

What is left is the solitude prejudiced

now avoiding companionship to be kissed

What is left is the black sky at nights

snatching away those laughters full of lights

What is left is the honor head high

looking at the trust with a sigh!!

What is left is that very self esteem

callously laughing at its victory

while posing like a queen.

What is left is the broken heart apart

that once used to look for cupid’d dart,

holding ocean of memories ,

unrealized dreams and fantasies.
