This is a song that I wrote.. well .. about Judy, but also so that anyone who has lost anyone can relate to and it could be sung at funerals. Yes, a moving funeral song...that's what I said I wrote. =P

v1

I don't know where to begin

It seems to me this task

Of singing about you being gone

Means I must remove my mask

My heart is raw and aching

My emotions burnt to the core

How I wish things could go back

To the way they were before...

chorus

Before you were gone too soon

Our hearts would skip a beat

To see you in a quiet place

Or on a busy street

Before you were gone too soon

So many plans were made

If only I could right the wrongs

And have you back again

You've gone too soon.

v2

I miss your beautiful eyes

Your cleverness and wit

And that smile that could melt my heart

I never want to forget

There's so much more to tell you

I could go on forevermore

How I wish things could go back

To the way they were before...

chorus

Before you were gone too soon

Our hearts would skip a beat

To see you in a quiet place

Or on a busy street

Before you were gone too soon

So many plans were made

If only I could right the wrongs

And have you back again

You've gone too soon.

v3

Time just keeps on turning

It doesn't ease the pain

Whether you're gone minutes or for years

It all still hurts the same

I know God's here to comfort me

And if I could have one wish

Since I can't have you here right now

Please know... you're loved and missed....

chorus

Before you were gone too soon

Our hearts would skip a beat

To see you in a quiet place

Or on a busy street

Before you were gone too soon

So many plans were made

If only I could right the wrongs

And have you back again

You've gone too soon.
