Glimpses

“ Love At First Glance”

I saw you.

How perfect you were...tendrils of silk falling around your cherubim face.

You lifted a cup to your rose stained lips and smiled ... such a lovely radiant smile.

Your eyes dancing brown embers, like golden ore in the steely rays of the sun.

Not a care in the world, how I wished my lips tasted of your tea. So that you may sip from mine !

I’m in awe of your glory, though you may never know my love.

For now I may admire you from afar, like some rare rose on a thorny bush.

Fearful that if I may take my chances at plucking you, you might wither away!

So I steal a glimpse or two hoping you would notice me instead. Pluck me with your eyes, and ruin me instead!
