Give them a safe home,

give them a healthy place to lay their heads.

Happiness is the result

of having a place to rejuvenate.

Don't assume that a roof over my head

means I am okay.

I know that things could be worse

but better abuse

is still not okay.

The hidden problem

is killing us all.

I don't fault you

for having a mansion to live in.

I only ask you give me and my children a chance.

This isn't freedom

if you're suffering so deeply

that you can't get out of bed.

Don't tell the person

eating out of a garbage can

that it is their choice

when getting a job isn't even on their radar.

Don't tell them,

don't tell me,

that it is our choice

for you to be greedy.
