Garden of Grace

In the garden of life, where all tales begin,

There blooms a flower amidst the din.

Her petals soft, her leaves embrace,

A mother’s touch, a tender grace.

She is the morning light that wakes the dawn,

The gentle hand that leads till fears are gone.

Through sleepless nights and endless days

She guides our steps through life’s complex maze.

Oh mother, in your eyes we see

The depths of love’s vast boundless sea.

Your laughter, a melody soft and clear,

Rings like music we long to hear.

You’ve woven dreams with threads of care

Stitched our hopes with the love we share.

You taught us to stand, you let us fall

Gave us the strength to face it all.

In every tear that you discreetly wipe

In every cheer in every gripe

You’ve been an anchor firm and strong

A refuge where all hearts belong.

Remember stories read aloud –

We listened rapt as deeds were ploughed?

Heroes and dragons filled our night;

But you brave heart held on tight!

For all the meals you have lovingly made;

For fevers soothed fears assuaged;

For every sacrifice seen unseen;

For quiet moments in between.

Today we meet up, a real family,

To commemorate anything but you.

We bring our love, our hearts, our song,

To bless you Mother the whole time long.
