When you asked if I still loved you, I opened my mouth to speak, but the answer froze on my tongue.

You looked to me for clarity. When I tried to smile, my frosty tears made your hair stand on end.

The scent of betrayal has become an unbreachable glacier between us.

Still, you reached out to hold my hand. I flinched from the cold and turned away.

But then your kiss, which chilled on my lips, still tasted of the memories that once melted my heart.
