Friendship

A Poem of Friendship

By Bikash PurkaitPublished 9 days ago 2 min read

Fiendship, an embroidery of spirits laced,

A dynamic string through life's fantastic plan.

Woven with chuckling, tears, and murmured dreams,

A steady light, where trust everlastingly glimmers.

In youth's sunrise, on jungle gyms brilliant and new,

Modest grins traded, a reluctant "greetings," as well.

Sandbox palaces worked with shared enchant,

Privileged insights murmured, held underneath the evening.

Through fields we'd run, pursuing butterflies,

Getting dreams with chuckling in our eyes.

Swinging high, aiming high,

Fellowship's tune, a taking off, euphoric cry.

High school years, where tempests start to mix,

Unsure ways, hidden in a dim tint.

First heartbreaks borne, a shoulder to trust,

A quiet strength, where tears can securely stow away.

Late-night talks underneath a twilight sky,

Expectations and fears traded, with tear-filled eye.

Dreams murmured, aspirations held so close,

Fellowship's light, a signal in the evening.

Through wins procured, a grin of unadulterated enjoyment,

A hand that fastens, a quiet, knowing may.

Accomplishments shared, an ensemble sung in joy,

The delight of triumph, an orchestra for you.

In minutes dim, when shadows hold us tight,

A quiet presence, banishing the evening.

A delicate hand that wipes away a tear,

A murmured word, dispersing uncertainty and dread.

Through life's meanderings, ways may once in a while twist,

Miles might isolate, however kinship won't end.

Letters wrote, with recollections spread out,

The string remains, associating us all through the world.

Like endured stones, carved with stories told,

Kinship's embroidered artwork, always valiant and strong.

Wrinkles scratched, with giggling lines so profound,

Love's confirmation, in recollections we keep.

For in a companion, a mirror we can find,

Reflecting insights, both delicate and heartless.

A voice that talks, when our own is lost and frail,

A directing hand, the way we should all look for.

Through shared encounters, a bond that develops,

A quiet language, just kinship knows.

Inside jokes murmured, recollections we hold dear,

A world constructed only for us, with chuckling and with cheer.

Silver hair might come, and steps might vacillate slow,

Yet, companionship's glow, always will it shine.

A delicate touch, a knowing, delicate look,

Love's ashes consuming, brilliant through blurring days.

The embroidery spreads out, a demonstration of time,

Where strings of delight and distress entwine.

An immortal weave, a story yet untold,

Companionship's heritage, more valuable than gold.

For in a companion, a close friend we embrace,

A safe-haven of affection, a consoling space.

A bond that rises above preliminaries, distance, and struggle,

An embroidery of spirits, woven into life.

So let us raise a glass, to companionships held so dear,

May chuckling fill our days, and expel each apprehension.
