Its been four years.

four long and four short

four years since you left

Four years since you made your decision

a decision that you have to live with

that I have to live with

I graduated high school, you weren't there to see it.

I moved to OregonMontanaNevadaCalif- you weren't there to see it.

I got my heart broke (I broke a heart) you weren't there to see it.

I fell in love fell out of love fell in love with myself, you weren't there to see it.

I found myself and lost myself and found myself again, and you were not there to see it.

I don't know why I am still surprised, four years is a long time to make peace, come to terms,

But I am.

Summer comes and the heat the heat the heat reminds me

of how hot it was when you left.

Reminds me of how cold I felt for the rest of the season.

Its been four years.

Its been four years.
