“Forever’s Nothing”

Nothing lasts forever,

And never is the

Worst, or maybe best,

Kind of forever.

Promise me nothing

And I’ll promise you eternity.

I don’t want promised lies of love.

I don’t want promised empty certainty.

I just want you blaintantly

Honest with me, with you,

So if you decide to stay

Past tonight,

Past tomorrow,

You can say

Next week might be ok.

But nothing lasts forever,

So let’s let it alone.

I’m happy calling this nothing

Because something always

Breaks. Cries. Aches. Dies.

And I’m ok with this living.

Nothing lasts forever.

Please keep this forever nothing.

Never and as nothing is how I want to love you.

Please know that’s never true.
