At times friends leave your life. Not for any other reason than it is time to move on. I can look back at those memories and smile, because they are good memories.

**********************************************************************

For you, who daily brings me coffee

For you, who lifts when I'm down,

For you, who carefully dries my tears

For you, who turns my frown around.

***

I remember all the time we shared

There are memories I'll never forget,

The joys and sorrows we went through

How lucky it was that we met.

***

Precious memories that I hold so dear

Like the first time you said, "I love you,"

All the promises that you made me

And all the times you followed through.

***

For you, who made me happy

For you, who made dreams come true,

For you, who held me so lovingly

These words I dedicate to you.

**********************************************************************

Goodbyes are always hard but you will always remember the good times, the fun times and the loving.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
