When the lights have dimmed,
When the dark has come,
When you lose your hope,
When time is summed?
Will you remember me,
Will you regret your youth,
Will you shed a tear,
Will you be uncouth?
When your skin's no longer supple,
When your thoughts are slow,
When beauty is gone,
When you no longer flow?
Will I be a footnote,
Will I be a joy,
Will I be a memory,
Will I be a mere toy?
Remember this,
Though, to you I'm naught,
My heart it broke,
