Fly or Die?

4/5/08

I feel I can’t go on

I just want to end it now.

But something keeps me going

And I don’t end my life.

Something, some thought

Intervenes and I just,

I just can’t leave

The ones I love behind.

There’s too much pressure,

Too much pain,

That sometimes I just cry out quiet

And stand down in the rain.

I’m showered, badgered by

The constant reminders.

If I had one wish

It would be to fly.

Fly up high and far away,

Fly all night and fly all day.

Just relieve myself of this stress

In my own special way.

Go up high where I can cry

And let my tears fall where they may.
