Floating on Peaceful Waters
~ ~ ~
In pitch dark,
I float on water,
peaceful.
Busyness of the world,
silent for now.
Holy Spirt lifts my arms,
silent prayers linger.
My lips patiently plead,
as His presence continues to speed,
around circuit track,
of mental map.
I know the Word,
and the power therein,
but “help my unbelief.”
Blessings course through my veins,
every cell inside is learning
how to have healthy fear,
or respect of the one who sustains.
Like a piano’s sustain pedal,
my soul praises and gently sings.
Worship is extra powerful,
through sufferings and trials,
for Jesus walks with us,
through every “extra mile.”

I kept coming back to the phrase gently sings. Beautiful
Beautiful and peaceful poem, Rowan.
Wow! The image of floating on the water in the dark… and that photo. This is simply beautiful, and well done😊
Amen!!
Beautifully written and so true… ‘ Blessings course through my veins, every cell inside is learning how to have healthy fear, or respect of the one who sustains.’ As Proverbs says: ‘Fear (respect/awe) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…’🤩
I'm not a person of faith but the way you write of your faith is uplifting. Enjoyed reading your work.
