FIRST SIGHT OF YOU
Love
It was meant to be.
Eyes enveloped me.
From across the room.
Sent me to the moon.
While it was a glance,
was taking a chance.
True love at first sight.
Not ever a fight.
Decades have passed.
Love is unsurpassed.
Comfortable we are.
Feeling like a star.
We lounge for hours.
No castle towers.
We are together.
Light as a feather.
Our smiles are matching.
Hearts never clashing.
This love is blissful.
Others are wishful.
Oh, a perfect fit.
Yes, we must admit.
Faithful thirty-five,
years, we do still thrive.
Love-tested endures.
Valued, no detours.
Love hit that Monday,
with slippers Gumby.
