First Love & War

Nothing really changes ...

One of the warmest days of fall.

In my eyes, with you,

I wanted it all.

Tenderness, love, and passion

were cloud nine's fashion.

Then,

one day...

Distractions got in the way.

The love we vowed

somehow

bows away.

Suddenly,

anguish took love's place.

Your kisses were my safe haven.

Your smile was of enchantment.

I learned nothing really changes.

What I was left to chance

with yearning for you

became storytime.

But with you,

I was one of two people with flowers.

That was your demise.

I use to wonder about you.

I've been ignoring you.

I've been trying to ignore you.

Was your chivalry suppose to blind me?

In the end,

your other side turned our

first love

into a

real war...
