Fingers & Pearls

Poem

We do our nails, we do our hair and when we wear our pearls...

#

Her smile enchants you, as she glances your way,

flirtatious eyes flash towards you.

She shifts in her seat as she plays with her hair,

those long slender fingers on view.

#

Wearing pearls, she’s desirable - a classic, you muse,

as you notice her catching your stare.

So you pluck up the courage to smile back at her,

as she tosses her glossy thick hair.

#

Deep blood red nails on pale fingertips,

twirling her long mane of curls,

strands entwine around shimmers of white,

caught up around those fingers and pearls.

Love the use of the sibilants. Makes the poem very sensual to read.
