Falling

or where things go

Remind me how it feels to fall in love

a fresh start, a first kiss,

butterflies and our surroundings disappearing around us.

You make it all so easy,

moving into my daydreams, claiming the space in my mind

until all I want that I don't have is you.

The longing starts the second we walk away,

and I am counting the minutes until I see you again,

my hand in yours, your lips on mine, a careless display of PDA

worth every second of quickened heartbeats and breath that just won't catch.

I say I want to see where this goes, and I do

so long as it keeps going.
